The bit about Berger Chevrolet on today's news about the wrecked ZL1 reminded of this right here:
Berger Chevrolet not only sold COPO Chevrolets and performance parts, they also had their own brand of Super Car, namely, the Berger Super Nova, to compete with Don Yenko's and Baldwin Motion's offerings. I've several pictures of miniature Super Novas, manufactured by GMP, but I think I've yet to see a pic of the real thing aside from these brochures.

I've never seen a Berger car either.
But..
When I saw their name in the ZL 1 update the Super Nova was the first thing that came to mind.

I live near Berger and am shopping for a new car.......I wonder if they will do a Berger Super Sonic and listen to my idea of dropping a 2.0L Ecotec turbo into it for 260hp.

That's... seriously one of the best ideas I've heard in a while. Talk to them about the Super Nova of the 70's, ease the idea in gently, maybe they'll agree. I mean, I've no idea how a COPO would work today, but there is a new COPO Camaro, even if in name only and a Super Sonic is great as a concept.

I was going to mention the COPO's in my post but did not. Glad you did. They are an amazing dealer.

I'm glad to hear that, any dealer that caters to enthusiasts has got to be ok in my book, though I've never visited them to be sure and hate talking out of my ass, haha...

Have not lived there in 20 years +. But they are still owned by the same bunch, as far as I know, but they were always the best dealership around. Check them out and let us know what you find. They are still located where they were back then. 28th St., just east of Breton rd on the north side. (Jeez, I can't believe I remember that).

If I'm ever in the US, I'll be sure to pay them and a few other dealerships a visit. I'd really like to know some of the performance hubs from the Muscle Car era, or at least the places where they used to be, like Berger's, Yenko Chevrolet and Royal Pontiac. All of those places made their names by helping out and providing cars and parts for the early Car & Driver tests on some of the old issues I have.

That'd be awesome, just don't come in the summer, it's way too hot for life. Plus, the best things about Rio Grande do Sul all come in the winter.
